Once I had a vision of my Heart as the abode of Ganesha,
the abounding, courageous, loving elephant-godhead
growing infinitely big inside the ever-expanding Heart,
transforming the world into a blissful playground for his majestic joy.
Mooshika (mouse) is his faithful, quick and helpful friend and companion,
their bond is so harmonious and hilarious
that you can't help joining them in their infinite fun!
The mouse is the Mind.
Now, in our world everything seems to be the other way around.
The Mind had grown as big as an elephant,
it produced vigorous activity, it changed the world with its destructive greed, competitiveness and breeding power to the extinction of everything else that would not immediately contribute to it's effectiveness.
The Heart shrunk becoming the Mind's silly toy
and without its emotional support the bewildered Mind raved mad godless and friendless.
People's hearts were filled with fear making them scared to death.
There is an anecdotal popular myth about elephants being afraid of mice. It is simply false. Elephants are not afraid of mice in the animal world.
But then in our human world the domination of the Mind isn't true either.
It's just an illusion that we're suffering an eclipse of the Heart and the Mind matters more when we come down to the rat-race for personal or global survival in the age of dwindling resources and terrible challenges.
To be more precise: it's simply our choice. Believe it or not.
